CURRENT COLLABORATIONS


A joint venture with UNICEF to improve quality (QIP) of primary education and to adapt our multi-grade methodology in one thousand schools in 8 states is presently under way. The first round of training was conducted in July 2004.

The two-year Capacity building programme with the Municipal Corporation of Chennai initiated in early 2004 is continuing. Designer Workshops were held to create suitable multi-grade learning materials in Tamil, for levels one and two.

A two-year collaboration with Jharkand under their DPEP programmes is in progress.

Collaborations are being worked out with the Azim Premji Foundation for supporting about 300 schools in Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh.

A team of administrators, writers and teachers from Ethiopia is presently at Rishi Valley. Their aim is to create a multi-grade Kit in Afar Oromo language of southern Ethiopia.
